“In a quiet corner of a garden on the edge of a wood sits a round growth covered in moss at the base of an old Ash tree. For the few who visit this part of the garden, it is seen as just an unusual part of a tree but if you were to look more closely you would see there is more to this than first meets the eye. At the base there is a dark little opening, surrounded by fallen leaves and twigs” ~ The Forgotten Garden
Brackens’ Corner is the home for the main character in the ‘Forgotten Garden’ story and will also be the main base for Bracken in the series of stories still to come. In the story, Brackens’ Corner can be seen by all but very few know that it is the home for a very small human like creature called ‘Bracken’.
‘The Forgotten Garden’ is an introduction to Brackens adventures which will take Bracken through her nearby environment which includes gardens, woods and beyond.
The inspiration behind Brackens home actually came from one of my trips to a nearby wood and when I saw this growth at the base of a tree, I knew I had found the idea for Brackens home.
