One of my favourite trees, love that tactile bark.
What a stately tree! It has such wonderful bark.
It is a stunner and it certainly stands tall and proud.
Just want to pick at that bark, lovely!
I do that quite often 🙂
I have banned myself from going near the Betula utilis Jacquemontii – a good peel that one!
Black Forest–that’s the tree, right? Or is the main tree of the German and Swiss Black Forest Picea abies, Norway spruce? Let me Google before I post this. Pinus nigra, Austrian pine. And yes the Picea abies dominates the Black Forest. FYI.
